Building Carbon Zero Marin
Part II in our Building Carbon Zero California series is scheduled for October 3rd at the Frank Lloyd Wright-designed Marin Civic Center. We're honored to have Randy Hayes (formerly Rainforest Action Network) and Peter Busby (Perkins + Will) keynoting this event.
Join us to learn how we can drastically reduce our carbon emissions today, and build a better environment for future generations.
Who should attend?
City and county officials, architects, homeowners, builders and developers of residential, multi-family, and commercial projects and anyone with a vested interest in moving Marin County’s built environment toward our Net Zero and Carbon Zero energy goals.
Peter Busby: Managing director at Perkins + Will San Francisco, Peter created the Sustainable Design Initiative (SDI), the firm’s framework for providing sustainable design leadership on all projects across the firm. Peter's globally recognized design work focuses on sustainable communities and regenerative design. Peter holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of British Columbia and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Philosophy from University of Toronto. In 2008, Peter was conferred an Honorary Doctorate in Science by Ryerson University and in 2011 was named a Cascadia Fellow.
Randy Hayes: Randy Hayes founded Rainforest Action Network in 1985 and remains on its Board. About his new project, Foundation Earth, he says, “It’s time to remake the energy economy as if nature, people, and the future mattered.” Hayes has been described in the Wall Street Journal as “an environmental pit bull.”
