Passive House for Mechanical Engineers & Equipment Manufacturers

Passive House California (PHCA) and New York Passive House (NYPH) are pleased to collaborate with the Passive House Institute and the Passive House Academy to advance the Passive House Standard in North America.  To this end, we are hosting two specialized workshops: one for advanced Passive House practitioners (see earlier calendar posting), and the other for Mechanical Engineers and mechanical systems manufacturers.

Track B:

Passive House for Mechanical Engineers and Equipment Manufacturers

This 2-day training includes:

  • Intro to Passive House principles
  • Mechanical Systems design: ventilation, heating, cooling and dehumidification
  • Mechanical systems certification: overview of the requirements and process
  • Solutions for exemplary buildings (domestic and commercial)
  • Case studies across North America and beyond

This class is offered in the Bronx, NY, location.

Qualification Requirements: must be a Mechanical Engineer or mechanical equipment manufacturer (no prior PHPP training necessary.)

Lunch is included for both days at all locations.  

Member discounts are offered to NYPH and PHCA members, plus members of organizations who are part of the North American Passive House Network (NAPHN.)  All other applicants shall pay the non-member rate.  Seating is limited.  Priority shall be given to NYPH & PHCA members, then NAPHN members.
