Laney College Passivhaus Opening Celebration
In late 2011 Laney College Carpentry Department Chair, Cynthia Correia, approached the Board of PHCA with a proposal to collaborate on renovating a foreclosed property in Oakland, using the Passive House approach. We signed an MOU with Laney College, the City of Oakland and Oakland Rotary Club as the builders, donor and funder of the project respectively. After 5 years, many challenges and a steep learning curve, the project is now complete!
Please join us to mark this tremendous effort at a special Celebratory Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
