Los Angeles based design-build commercial contractor, participated this Fall in a Passive House Boot Camp hosted by Emu in Santa Barbara. During this 3-day conference, multiple Steady employees were not only exposed to Passive House concepts in the classroom but for the field as well. Participants were given the opportunity to build “test pods”, utilizing Passive house recommended materials and techniques. At the end of the conference, Passive house techniques were measured against standard building code, with impressive efficiency gains. Fabien Reille, Steady CEO, asserts that “Sustainability and building efficiency have always been in our roots. Exposing employees and tradesmen to new techniques with measurable outcomes has been an exciting eye-opening event for all. Today, since we have been given this informative training, we have been able to apply some Passive house guidelines to our daily processes as well as our current and upcoming projects. I am proud to be a Certified Passive House Tradesperson! How fulfilling!”
